Proceeding with the 2023 Cultural Calendar activities, the Welcome Project and International Relations Office assistants’ team took UFOP foreign students to a tour in Parque Natural Municipal das Andorinhas (Andorinhas Municipal Natural Park).
22 international students participated in the activities, from the following countries: China, Colombia, Croatia, Haiti, Honduras, Italy, Mozambique, Peru, the Dominican Republic, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.
The purpose of visiting this ecological reserve was to present a little of the biomes that make up the “Inconfidentes” region, through an interactive and immersive activity that promotes a closer contact with nature.
The students followed a trail to “Cachoeira da Folhinha” (2,5 km), where they could enjoy stunning landscapes and natural pools, talk to each other, have a snack and share their home countries’ games.
They also visited the "Mirante da Pedra do Jacaré'' and swam in the Andorinhas? waterfall, after they returned to the park central area. They had the evening to take a rest and for leisure activities, as a time of socialization.
